An Option is a contract between two investors, a buyer and a writer. The buyer has the option to buy or sell stocks at the strike price, any time until the expiry date. There are two types of options, Calls & Puts. A call option gives the buyer the right to buy the underlying asset, and a put gives the buyer the right to sell the underlying asset. The buyer of a call would expect the stock price to rise, and the buyer of a put would expect the price of the stock to fall. What can Options do for me? Options will allow you to: Manage the Risk Exposure within your portfolio. Profit in a falling market, while limiting your risk. Profit in a flat market. Reduce risk in your portfolio, while positioning yourself to profit when the market moves. Options can also allow you to: Buy stocks at a lower price. Sell stocks at a higher price. Increase income from stocks you currently hold. Protect your stocks from a decline in the market. Benefit from a stock prices rise without the cost of buying the stock outright. Increase your returns and also reduce your risk in the stock market. Click Here to begin the Introductory Options Course. Click Here to begin the Intermediate Options Course.
