The ebook gave me hope and guidance when insurers were doing their utmost to press me for difficult requirements and try to reject my disability claim. This ebook is so true to life that it brings a bonding experience to anyone who is miss-understood by the world. It unveils the humiliating process we all go through. Most importantly it educates the reader on how to cope and survive in this situation. It’s filled with valuable information. For anyone suffering over the complicated forms required in qualifying for disability, this eBook captures the emotions and hoops that are needed to hurdle in order to succeed. These are the hoops we must take on with bodies witch no longer jump or hurdle well. Mr. Parks includes what happens in the part-time world of employment where so many loose their benefits and life insurance. At one time I was about to assume a part-time position and had no idea of the life circumstances had I done so. The book tells it all. As a incomplete quadriplegic with epilepsy, the eBook format is so much easier for me. No need to stack mountains of pillows for body parts to hold a book just so I can read it. The ebook also has a click on button that increases the print size for anyone with a visual impairment. I love what this book has done and I know that it will help millions of other disabled people. It has certainly assisted me. I ‘m excited because I reviewed the book in its early stages. I suggested that Mr. Parks add worksheets and log pages at the back of the book. He added an entire section that provides guidance in budgeting and saving money on phone and prescription drug bills. This is a great “how to” resource. Mr. Parks has written an ebook rather than a book to hold in your hand and at first I was uncertain what to make of it. But his book is so heartfelt, pertinent to those of us with Multiple Sclerosis, and valuable that I have chosen to review it for MSWorld. Mr. Parks has written a novel about a successfully employed man who finds himself in a nightmarish world after he is diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. He needs an income and is entitled to benefits but he gets caught in the machinery of bureaucracy. As he makes every mistake he could he is helped by several other characters, all with disabilities, one of them, Multiple Sclerosis. With compelling graphics and a breathless pace Mr. Parks guides his characters through the mazes any of us who apply for disability or other benefits may face. Everything that could go wrong does in this novel and yet, dramatic as it is, it is also light-hearted, humorous and (most important) informative. Mr. Parks' book is the first of its kind (to my knowledge). In addition to his novel there are included appendices covering how to invest wisely in light of disability and also a list of agencies to contact for help in obtaining benefits. With sensitivity to the visually impaired, Mr. Parks has provided his readers with options for adjusting the size of the type and pages. This is a well-constructed and compelling tale with some very exciting twists and turns. If you are comfortable with the notion of ebooks I recommend it.
