Did you know that many "weight loss" products and programs actually make things worse, because they don't help you kick your sugar addiction? From the desk of Jonni Good Author of Weight Loss: How to Keep Your Commitment 4820 SW Greensboro Way, Suite #46 Beaverton, OR 97007 jonni@howtothinkthin.com Dear friend, I'm glad you found this page, because very shortly you're going to know if sugar addiction and junk food cravings are keeping you, (or a loved one), from having the healthy, beautiful body that you deserve. You've been reading about this problem in the news - now it's time to see what you can do about it. click here to read testimonials Take the quiz below. If you discover that you are addicted to sugar or junk food, I'll tell you how you can overcome your addiction by using a process that anyone can learn and put into practice. That means you will be able to replace all those fattening "treats" with plates full of nutritious, delicious food that makes your body glow with health - you can even eat all you could possibly want, and watch the extra pounds melt away. That's not an outrageous claim - healthy food does not make people fat, or lead to indigestion, heart disease of cancer. Healthy food is the true "weight loss miracle!" Some people say "you can't be addicted to food." They forget that sugar, white flour and pure oils and fats are not natural. These substances are mined from real food - they are basically pure calories, with all the real nutrients, minerals and phytochemicals thrown out. Sugar is refined in much the same way that coca leaves are turned into pure cocaine. As a pure chemical, sugar is completely alien to the body, and it is definitely addictive. Scientists have proven it. Fat and salt are also unhealthy (as they are commonly eaten in America), and contribute to obesity and disease. Their use may be obsessive - but they are not physically addictive. Why? Technically, there are no withdrawal symptoms when you give them up. However, because they cause so much disease in America, and because we have become so used to them in our diets, they can be very hard to give up. While they aren't physically addictive, these cravings can cause addictive behavior. How can you know if food addictions are affecting your health? Isn't it crazy? Here in America there's a commercial shown on national TV.. It shows three burly (overweight) guys who are just finishing their meal at the local cafe - and they're all feeling the pain of indigestion and gas from the food they just ate. The happy animated bottle of over-the-counter medication comes to the rescue! But why are they eating something that makes them sick? Why do they do it so often that they carry medication in their coat pockets? Why does this commercial sell so many bottles of pills? Are they addicted to sugar and fat-drenched food without even knowing it? Are you? Find out by answering these questions: Do you eat foods containing sugar, white flour, or white rice every single day? If you were to list 5 of your "comfort foods" would all of them include refined carbohydrates or butter, olive oil, or some other fat? Do you eat for emotional reasons or when you're feeling stressed? Does the food you eat to calm you down or feel "loved" contain sugar, white flour and fat? Do you find yourself "needing" to grab a hamburger or pizza at a fast food joint at least once a week? Do you regularly buy French-fries, potato or corn chips, or other deep-fried snack foods? Do you feel that "something is missing" if you watch TV without something to snack on? If someone suggests that you shouldn't eat any sugar, white flour or fat-drenched fast food, do you instantly reject the idea as absurd? Are you feeling slightly uncomfortable just reading this? Do you feel a little angry when someone tells you that your diet is unhealthy? Are you totally convinced that you can continue to eat sugar, white flour and junk food (but perhaps "cut down a bit"), and still lose your extra weight or improve your health? In spite of the fact that it's never worked in the past? When you go without sugar, noodles, bread or other refined carbohydrates, do you feel "strange," slightly woozy, or get a headache or other uncomfortable symptoms? When you refrain from eating any candy, bread or other refined carbs, do you begin to obsess about the foods you gave up, or feel "picked on" and grouchy? Have you gained more than 10 pounds since you were 20 years old? Do you try to avoid having your picture taken? Do you avoid looking in mirrors? Did you stay away from your high school reunion because you think you're too fat? Do you often feel bloated or get indigestion after eating certain foods, but still eat them anyway? Do you manage to stay thin (even though you eat sugar and other fattening foods) by spending hours in the gym or because you work at a strenuous job all day? When you take a vacation from the gym or work, do you tend to gain weight? Do you have any difficulty sleeping, or wake up around 3 am? Do you have a child who sleeps so soundly he wets the bed? Do you often feel lethargic, moody or depressed? Have you memorized the push-button code for your favorite candy bar or snack on the vending machine at work? Has your doctor warned you about your blood pressure or told you that you are at risk of getting diabetes if you don't lose weight? Do you fully intend to follow her advice, but just haven't quite gotten around to it? If you answered "yes" to two or more of those questions, I can easily predict that you have tried at least one diet in the past - and possibly many diets - but always regained the weight. Diet books always tell you that diets don't work. Now you know exactly why they don't work. You're hooked. Now you need to know what you can do about it. click here to read testimonials How can you become addicted to food? Sugar addiction happens for the same reason that many people become addicted to heroin, alcohol, nicotine and cocaine. But most Americans get hooked on sugar at a much earlier age. Almost all addictions have these components: You begin eating, drinking or using something because it feels good or tastes good - or both. You continue because it feels good when you do it, and it feels bad when you don't. You aren't able to stop even though it damages your health, and continue to do it even when the dangers have become obvious. The only addictions that don't follow this pattern are caused by modern medicine - pain medication, even over-the-counter headache medication - can cause painful withdrawal symptoms when you give them up. The pills themselves don't make you feel good, but in the beginning they help reduce the pain of your headache. Because the withdrawal symptoms are very similar to, or even worse, than the pain you first took the pills for, people keep on taking the medication without knowing where the pain is coming from. So, medically-induced addictions leave out the first step (the pleasure). All the other steps are the same. Sugar withdrawal symptoms are nowhere near as harsh as the pain that nicotine addicts go through when they stop smoking. And they aren't as dangerous as the withdrawal symptoms that alcoholics experience. But sugar withdrawal symptoms, if you give up all refined carbohydrates, can be uncomfortable for a week or two. People who don't know about addictions often mistake these symptoms for hunger, and their discomfort leads them back to eating sugar. This same thing happens to people who kick drug habits. In fact, because sugar and white flour are not natural, and because they cause untold amounts of disease and suffering, it would be better if we started calling them drugs. At least then more people would know why it is so hard to stay on a healthy diet. click here to read testimonials Why is it important to break these addictions? When you overcome your sugar addiction and junk food cravings, your body will heave a huge sigh of relief. You can then begin the natural process of repairing the damage from years of abuse from an unhealthy diet. Part of that process will include washing away all the stored fat - your body doesn't want that fat any more than you do. It's a myth that you have to burn all that fat with exercise - if your body is given a chance, it will get rid of it the way it does with any other toxic substance. When you're free from your sugar addiction, your body will be able to take on the job of "taking out the trash" - getting rid of the built-up toxins and fat that your low-nutrition, empty-calorie diet has been dumping into your cells. Your immune system will be able to work better and faster, and your metabolism will become more efficient. And that means you'll look better and feel better than you have in years. All by giving up the dangerous foods in your diet, and replacing them with the nutritious meals your body is crying for. If you don't have to feed your sugar habit, you can actually lose weight and regain your health without going hungry or starving your body. Most diets mistakenly try to include at least some of these empty calories to make you happy, and then make up for it by reducing the amount of actual nutrition by giving small portions of everything else. This is a sure formula for failure. In fact, obesity is a disease caused by malnutrition. Think about it - calories are like coal. You can burn coal to keep your house warm, but you can't build a house out of coal. If you feed your body with pure calories, (which is what candy, white bread, pasta and refined oil really are), you can burn the stuff, or you can store the stuff as fat - but you can't use it to build your cells or carry on the vital functions of your organs. If your body doesn't get the nutrients it needs, it will do whatever it takes to get you to eat more. When you do eat more, but only as more empty calories, the process starts over. You get fat, and eventually you get sick. This is the way nature works, and there's no getting around it. If you don't get enough nutrition, your survival system kicks in and demands that you eat something. You cannot ignore your survival system. That's why it's so hard to commit suicide by drowning. However, even though you may not be able to ignore your survival system, you can easily misunderstand it's signals. That's what millions of Americans do every day when their bodies cry out for something sweet. Instead of nutritious sweet fruit, vegetables and whole grains, we feed ourselves junk. It isn't easy, but you can kick the sugar and junk food habit. I've done it myself, and I've taught many others to do it. And consider this: Every year thousands of drug addicts and alcoholics kick their dangerous habits. Most of them do it without joining support groups or checking into treatment centers. It's possible to kick your junk food habit, by using the same successful techniques used by ex-addicts. If they can do it, you can do it! And no, I'm not talking about 12 step programs. That system hasn't been proven to be very successful with food addictions, although I'm not sure why. The secret to success is to model a program after the things that the majority of addicts do to free themselves of their addictions - all by themselves. There is no other program, that I know of, that uses this kind of information to help people stay on a healthy diet. click here to read testimonials If sugar addiction is such a problem, why isn't there more help? The nightly news around the world has been full of stories about the dangers of sugar addiction and junk food cravings, but until now, no one has offered a real solution for it. The problem is this: The people who know the secret to breaking an addictive habit are not likely to tell you what that secret is. Why? There's a number of reasons. Recovering drug addicts and alcoholics may be embarrassed that they ever had the problem in the first place, and want to go on with their lives. That's perfectly reasonable. Or they may have used the 12 step program, which doesn't work well for food addictions. Or they may be completely convinced that their addiction is real, and your addiction to sugar or junk food is just a matter of self-indulgence. Or, the addiction they were able to overcome was illegal and socially unacceptable, and they think you'd look down on them if they discussed it. And, most often people who are able to give up dangerous habits on their own simply don't know what makes them different from all the people who fail. They may get excited about their achievement and want to share their success, but still give bad advice. If they lost weight, they tell you what diet they used (but of course, they wouldn't have been able to stay on that diet if they hadn't somehow kicked their addiction to fattening food.) Or they think they have more "will power" than you do (but how do you get more will power? They don't know.) When they started eating better, they had more energy, so they exercised more. They attribute their success to the exercise, instead of the other way around. And they probably have no idea that they were ever addicted to anything in the first place, so how could they know exactly what they did to overcome it? Basically, they stumbled onto a personal solution, by accident, and can't help you recreate their success. Diet books even give pointless advice. They say that diets don't work unless you have the "right attitude". But they have no idea how you can get that attitude, especially if you've dieted before, and then regained the weight. Basically, they're saying they don't know why people can't stay committed to their health. click here to read testimonials Enough already. Let's start doing something that works. I designed a program to help stop the yo-yo dieting and depressing failures that are caused by addiction to fattening food. This is the program I wish I'd discovered years ago. I really wish someone else had written the book before I went on so many fad diets and kept regaining all that weight. I based much of my simple but powerful new program on the experiences of drug addicts who successfully gave up dangerous chemicals on their own. It just makes sense. Because of my training as an addiction counselor and my lifelong career in the health care field, I was fascinated as I read how so many people succeeded in giving up dangerous habits, all by themselves. I even got to watch as a good friend, an ex-methamphetamine addict, kicked his sugar and white flour habit because of a diabetes diagnosis. His excess weight melted away when he turned his back on the cookies and chocolate that he loved. (That was before I understood the addictive nature of sugar, and many of those cookies and other treats had been baked in my own kitchen. I brought them to Barry when I visited his wife, because he enjoyed them so much. I now shudder to think how I contributed to an illness that came so close to killing him). Barry (not his real name) regained his health and lost over 85 pounds, using the same inner strength and mental exercises that had helped him kick his drug habit. (And boy, did he look handsome after he lost all that weight!) It's possible to kick an addiction. It isn't easy, but thousands of people do it every year. And now I know from my own experience that it is possible to create an understandable, do-able program that will help anyone kick their addiction to sugar and junk food. I designed this program for my own use, and lost 37 pounds in four months, in spite of working at a desk job and being surrounded by well-meaning people who love to bring in cookies, cakes and sweet rolls to share. I have not regained my weight, like I always did in the past. My cholesterol has come down, which makes my doctor happy. I have the energy I need to exercise (I'm doing the Walk America for the March of Dimes in April - 11 miles!). People tell me I look great, and I can fit into clothes that I grew out of years ago. This may be a bit personal, but my chronic bloating and gas, as well as occasional indigestion and heartburn, have disappeared. I no longer wake up at 3 in the morning because of low blood sugar. My moods are more even, allowing me to stay calm even when my coworkers are totally stressed out about the daily "crisis" that happens at work. I feel good about the fact that I'm taking responsibility for my health. There are only two things I miss about the days before I lost all that weight: (1) The seats on Portland's commuter trains aren't as well padded any more, and (2) I had to give away my favorite sweater because it started to feel like I was wearing a tent. OK, enough about me. Now you want to know how this can help you. How can you rise above the obsessive cravings that sabotage every diet? How can you lose your excess weight without feeling picked on - and without falling off your diet within a few weeks? How can you replace the empty calories in sugar and junk food with the miraculously healthy foods that will lower your cholesterol, and reduce your risk of heart disease, diabetes and some kinds of cancer? How can you, too, regain your health and lose that embarrassing fat? I've put together a program that does all that - it gives you what you need to stay committed to your health. click here to read testimonials This program is not like anything you've seen anywhere else! Diet books tell you that diets don't work. There are literally thousands of diet books - but you don't need another diet book. You need to know exactly how to overcome your food addictions so you can stay on a diet. Diet books can't tell you that, because the authors of those books haven't studied addictions theory. Here's what you will get from my book: You'll learn why your craving for sweetness is actually a natural part of your survival system, and that's why it's so easy to become addicted to sugar. You'll learn how your own thoughts can actually talk you into doing something (like eating sugar and junk food) that you don't want to do. I'll tell you about some of the amazing discoveries neuroscientists have made about how your brain works, which helps explain many irrational decisions that are made by intelligent people in spite of their own best intentions. Then you'll learn how to keep it from happening to you. You'll learn a simple meditation technique that you can use while you're driving to work or on a walk around the neighborhood. (If the term "meditation" bothers you for religious reasons, just call it a "powerful mental exercise" instead.) This skill will help you recognize your own "stinking thinking" (as Alcoholics Anonymous calls it) so that your addictive cravings can't stay in control of your diet. You'll learn exactly why stress makes any addiction so much harder to quit. And you'll learn a simple meditation technique that can reduce your stress and allow you to rise above cravings and obsessions - so you can make conscious, intelligent decisions about food. I'll tell you where you can find the kind of diet that really works with your body and its true nutritional needs. Or you can create your own diet, based on what your body tells you it needs (that's the way I did it) - but I strongly suggest that you learn as much as you can about nutrition. Your health is too important to leave to chance. You'll learn how to gently turn a craving for sugar into a desire for good, nutritious food. If you follow this program you'll soon be eating large portions of low-calorie, delicious food that your body needs. And though your desire for sweet food will never go away, your cravings will subside when your body is getting what it really wants. You'll learn some mental tricks to use while you're still getting used to this new program. Tricks that will keep you from giving in when the "stinking thinking" tries to get you to eat sugar or junk food. You'll learn how important it is to get the support you need, and how to get it even if your own friends and family are bored to tears with your weight and health problems. You'll learn how to organize your home so it is a safe place where you can relax, without worrying about "falling off the wagon" and eating the stuff that makes you fat. And, as a bonus chapter, I include a powerful meditation that shows you exactly how to love yourself - it just bugs me that so many people say "you need to learn to love yourself", but never tell you how. I tell you how. It lowers your stress, helps you heal many old emotional wounds, and can actually increase your confidence and help you stay committed to your health. Aren't there times in your day when you could use an emotional hug? Why do you need to learn all these things? For one thing, if you practice the program as I outline it, your excess fat will melt away. But what else? Exactly how will your body react to it's freedom from sugar and junk food? There's no way to know until you've actually experienced it, (we're all different), but many people experience some of these wonderful benefits: You may feel better than you have in years. Many people feel less lethargic, more energetic and enthusiastic, because the body is finally getting what it needs. Remember when you were excited about life? If you often suffer from indigestion, gas and heartburn, it's probably because you're eating things that make you sick. White flour often causes these symptoms because yeast loves it. Remember what happens when you mix water, sugar, flour and yeast to make bread or beer? You get bubbles. In your intestines, those bubbles hurt. If you kick your refined carb habit, your tummy will thank you for it. You may sleep better, wake up less often, and be more alive when you get up in the morning. You should stop feeling anxious or stressed when the holidays are coming, because you can say "No thanks" to fattening food - and smile! without worrying that you're hurting anyone's feelings. Trust me - they'll still love you, even if you don't eat Aunt Martha's chocolate cheesecake. Your doctor may discover that your cholesterol counts are improving, that your blood pressure has gone down, and your diabetic symptoms are being managed with less medication. Caution!! If you are diabetic and you now eat refined carbohydrates, please talk to your doctor. Lowering the sugar and white flour in your diet, and reducing the fat on your body will enable your own system to work much better. Your doctor needs to closely monitor your medication, and may need to reduce your prescription. Please speak to your doctor before making this change. Your self esteem will improve, because you won't be picking on yourself all the time for eating things that make you fat. Your success with your diet may make other changes in your life seem more possible - this certainly happened for me. I've had three promotions since I lost 37 pounds, because I had the courage to ask for them. You'll like yourself better, because you will learn how to tone down that internal judge that you carry around with you. Because you'll be losing weight, you'll stop avoiding mirrors, and you may even learn to smile when someone points a camera at you. Believe me, it's really a huge ego boost when you discover that you've finally lost the weight that you've been carrying around for years. click here to read testimonials It's time to take action. But how? It's easy to get started on this program. It's called Weight Loss: How to Keep Your Commitment, and it is available for immediate download. You can order the book through my secure order processor, with your credit or debit card, for $29.95. That's about what it costs for a meal in a not-too-fancy restaurant. Your health is obviously worth far more than that. But before you order, there are a few more things that I want you to know. I have received many wonderful testimonials from grateful readers, but in one way this book is no different from any other book that's ever been written about making changes in your life - if you don't actually follow through with the program, it doesn't help much. Knowledge is great, but reading about change can't help you lose weight and regain your health. For that reason, I have decided to add ten follow-up emails, in addition to the book itself, to help you stay on track. These emails will arrive every three days for the first 30 days after you download the e-book and begin your program. This is a new idea - and frankly, I don't know how long I'll be able to offer this additional benefit at this low price. Remember - this is an addiction we're talking about - it's amazing how easily we can convince ourselves that we don't really need to change the way we eat, even when there is overwhelming evidence that a change is needed. For that reason, you need all the support that you can get. So I've decided that I will automatically contact each person who downloads my book, at regular intervals, to give you even more support in your struggle with your sugar and junk food cravings. Your follow-up support emails include an audio file, because neuroscientists and educators have proven that it's easier to take in new information if you can both see and hear the words. I had to learn a new skill in order to create these follow up emails, but your success is important to me. As soon as you fill out the secure order form and hit the "submit" button, you'll be taken to a page that gives the download URL and instructions for saving the book to your computer. It can be printed at home (and I highly suggest this, as it makes it much easier to read it in comfort). Your download page also lists my personal email address. I welcome you to write if you have any difficulty with downloading or opening the book. Also, if you have any questions or concerns about the program, please write. I answer emails within 24 hours. However, please don't ask for specific nutritional advice or counseling by email - you need to get that kind of professional advice from your doctor. Obviously, even with this much support - the 110 page ebook, the month-long follow-up emails, and my own personal email address - I can't guarantee your success. The subtitle of this book is "How to Keep Your Commitment." I cannot make you committed if you haven't already decided that your health is worth the effort to make meaningful change. There's no way for me to know if you will even read the book after you get it, let alone follow through with the simple, powerful program. But I can do this: If you are not satisfied with the book for any reason - or no reason at all - just let me know within three months of your order and I'll have my credit card processor credit your account. Why do I do this? Because I'm on a mission to help you rise above your addiction to sugar and your cravings for fat - the health of our nation is at risk if we, as individuals, don't take action. We need to make healthy changes in our lives now. For that reason, I'm offering you an easy way to make a decision. Actually, you don't really even need to make your decision about this book until you've owned it for three months. All financial risk is mine, so all you have to lose is the addictive behaviors that make you unhealthy. Fill in the order form, download the book, read and follow my program with the support of my follow-up emails. If you do all that and truly don't feel this program helps you, just let me know within three months, and I'll credit your account for the full purchase price - I can't make it any easier than that. Click here to order Weight Loss: How to Keep Your Commitment takes approximately 3 minutes to download, and is in PDF format using Acrobat Reader - a free program which works on all computers. (It is probably already installed on your computer, but you'll receive directions for getting your free copy on the download page, just in case.) P. S. Testimonials have been rolling in from readers all over the country. As I tell each of these wonderful people, I'm truly grateful for their kind comments - it really makes me feel that all the hard work I've put into this project has been worth it, because this program is clearly making a real difference in people's lives. You can tell from these comments that many people are feeling hope for the first time in years. (I promised these kind folks that I would only use their first names, because these are individuals, and I respect their privacy.) From Linda (personal details have been edited out to protect her privacy): "Hello Jonni I enjoyed reading your book as it was written in a manner that made me feel like I was reading a letter from a friend. You made many valid points and I do agree that we need to be responsible for the choices we make. I found your method of thinking about our thoughts quite interesting. I read your book through all in one sitting and so hope to be able to read it slower next time. " Faith (the first person to read the book after it was finished!) wrote: "Exactly what I needed! Most of us know what we should be eating. But I spend a lot of time running in circles unable to concentrate on decisions at hand. Jonni's book showed me how to be in more control of my thoughts and make more conscious decisions about what I eat." Cynthia has written 3 times. Here's what she has to say: "Hello Jonni. The content of your web site is well written. It certainly has my attention. I find this most interesting. I think the reason I have not purchased your ebook is because you may have the solution to finally taking off and keeping off the 70+ pounds of extra weight I am carrying around with me. Does not make any sense? I think not. Why then do I keep returning to your web site skirting the periphery of what could finally spell success? We humans are most interesting creatures." One month after reading the book Cynthia wrote back: "Hello Jonni. As promised, here are my not-so-brief comments related to your ebook about learning why we often fail at our dieting attempts and how to keep one's commitment to weight loss and good health. I knew there had to be something worthwhile encased in your web site. Searching in Google for dietary information, I had stumbled upon it in early January and kept returning to it. I have now read your ebook, slowly and carefully. What a remarkable gift you have given me. I thank you for the wonderful insight you have given me into my failures and the hope you have provided me for my future improved health. Carefully knit into the text are what I interpret as the missing ingredients in my [and probably many others'] previous failed attempts at weight loss and better health. This is not for those who are not interested in trying again. You explain, in great detail, why I have failed in the past. The explanation and solutions in your ebook provide a safety net [insurance] for us weaklings who want to be successful at weight loss and self-improvement, those who will select a dietary/exercise regimen they feel will work for them and then embark fully cognizant that they are bound to have setbacks, for lack of a better word. Your ebook delivers common sense, proven and simple methods for ensuring that the inevitable setbacks are of little or no consequence, resulting in overall and long-term success. I can honestly say I am more hopeful than ever before of returning to a size 12 and staying there. I will keep the printed copy with me until I have memorized the simple techniques you spell out so clearly in your ebook, things I can do no matter where I am or what I am doing, to bring myself back in line with my goals. Jonni, I work in the health field. I know your ebook could be very helpful to countless numbers of people who may simply have given up for lack of understanding why they continue to fail; your ebook explains why and contains a critical ingredient in the recipe for long-term success - a simple safety net. " When she gave me permission to use her comments, she added this: "Yes, you are welcome to use my comments; thank you for using my first name and protecting my privacy. I appreciate that. Jonni - I am convinced your work can be helpful to people who have all but given up on themselves. I am thinking, for instance, of diabetics; also of the millions of obese people who may think they will never see their feet again. Wrong - if only they could be so fortunate to stumble upon your website. I would love to see your website listed as a resource in every dietitian's handouts for their clients. I think the healthcare industry is headed into an era of personal accountability. This may seem a bit harsh, but I believe in the not too distant future people who do not take responsibility for and rectify their preventable health issues, i.e., obesity, smoking, alcohol abuse, etc., may find themselves facing a somewhat unsympathetic/penalizing healthcare system. Much success to you, and thanks again. Cynthia." Kay wrote (some personal remarks have been edited out to protect her privacy): "This more positive approach which looks more closely at the reasons we eat offers a fresh avenue of hope because you offer definite ways to re-think and cope. I take vitamin supplements each day and have never been on any type of medication. My faith is strong and each new day is full of blessings. The walking meditation is wonderful - for some reason, I think a form of this has always been a part of my life. I tend to give my mind plenty of vacations and keep positive thoughts alive by thinking "stop" before a negative can take hold. It is a personal decision when we decide to think 'in the moment' about all the wonderful things life has to offer. Nutrition and health are subjects that I truly enjoy and had I known this early enough in life I may have pursued a career in that field. As the PR/Membership/Program Development Director at our local Racquet Club and Fitness Center, I enjoy helping members learn the basics of tennis. This also gives me the opportunity to stress to new players the importance of fitness, nutrients, water and fresh, wholesome foods. ....the book is wonderful because the approach is about so much more than just the food. " Jessie wrote this (she's my daughter, and has now joined me in publishing the weekly How to Think Thin Newsletter. She might be prejudiced..): "Jonni, I wanted to write and let you know that I really learned a lot from your book. You really made me see that what I always thought of as a personal failing was really just my own natural human nature, trying to live of a world that doesn't exist any more. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and an ongoing interest in general science, and your points seem valid and well researched to me."
