It covers basic to advanced windsurfing concepts that you need to understand to help learn new skills. Also explained are terms and ideas used throughout The Windsurfing Bible. Plus, you learn HLOWs: the simple keys to master new techniques. Part I. Light-Wind Sailing Buy all 4 books of Part 1 together as a package! The link to the left also contains an introduction to windsurfing in light-wind, beginning techniques, and an explanation of the skills described by the 4 books in Part I. 3. In the Beginning Books 3, 4 and 5 form the foundation upon which all of your windsurfing, for the rest of your life, is based. Skills covered are rigging, carrying your gear, getting on the board without pain, uphauling, setting-sail, tacking, and gybing. 4. Steering, Stance & Sailing This book expands the foundation formed in the previous books. You learn how to steer in all four directions, to sail comfortably without strain, and to handle all the different sailing situations that you will encounter. Part II. Moderate-Wind Sailing Buy all 4 books of Part 2 together as a package! The link to the left also contains an introduction to windsurfing in moderate-wind, intermediate techniques, and an explanation of the skills described by the 4 books in Part 2. 5. Moderate-Wind Stance & Harness The first time you sail in higher wind and become overpowered by the sail, you will understand why this book is for you. It covers advanced techniques of setting-sail, the moderate wind stance, higher wind windsurfing techniques, how to handle gust, and how to comfortably and safely sail in your harness. 6. Beachstart Tired of uphauling? When you master this easy maneuver, your lower back will be eternally grateful. And, the beachstart is easy when you follow the six steps described in this book. The Beachstop, a real crown pleaser, is also covered. 7. Fast Tack This is your first advanced turning technique. It is also one that you will use for as long as you windsurf. It is safe and dependable, even on a short board. It's also easy, when you follow the six steps. 8. Flare Gybe The Flare Gybe is the appropriate turn in the majority of windsurfing conditions found throughout the world. Use it on a long board or a short board when light wind prevents the use of footstraps. It also is the basis for the Carved Gybe Recovery explained in Book 11. Part III. High-Wind Sailing An introduction to windsurfing in high-wind, advanced techniques, and an explanation of the skills described by the 5 books in Part III. It's FREE and the complete excerpt is available by clicking the link to the left. 9. High-Wind Stance & Footstraps Besides the high-wind footstrap stance, other skills are how to get into your footstraps without rounding upwind, how to sail fast, how to sail upwind (thus avoiding a rescue), foot-steering, and preventing spin-out. 10. Waterstart Uphauling in high-wind is difficult at best, but virtually impossible on a short board. If you face these conditions or want to sail high-wind equipment, you need this essential skill. 11. Carved Gybes The Carved Gybe is the most desired maneuver in windsurfing. Four variations are taught: the Step Gybe, the Feet First Carved Gybe, the Feet Last Carved Gybe, and the Carved Gybe Recovery. You master these gybes by starting with land and water exercises, then moving through the 6 steps. You gradually building skill and confidence until everything comes together into one spectacular maneuver. 12. Ski & Laydown Gybes The Ski Gybe is a different type of carved gybe that skiers and skaters find easier to learn. On the other hand, the Laydown Gybe is more traditional, but with a different sail manipulation technique. Two additional methods of flipping the sail are also explained. 13. Duck Gybes For some people, this maneuver is easier than the traditional carved gybe. We start with a sail-360, progress to the moderate-wind Duck Flare Gybe, and then cover the high-wind Duck Gybe. It's a crowd pleaser, too. 14. Rigging Another FREEBIE. This book covers getting the most out of your equipment by fine tuning your sail, mast-foot, centerboard, footstraps, and skeg. 15. Equipment A comprehensive guide to choosing the best equipment for you and your sailing area. Categories covered are general information, boards, sails, accessories, attire, and sources to purchase your gear. Plus, it's also FREE. 16. Stampeding Fish Curious? Well, you'll just have to read it to find out. It's funny, it's informative, it's FREE and it might save a life; possibly yours!
