Ran a nice second to stablemate Vindication in the Breeder's Cup Juvenile and has remained sharp as a 3-year-old while impressively winning the San Vincente (GIII) at Santa Anita. 3) Lion Tamer has an explosive stretch move when sprinting, and has enough ability and breeding to handle two turns, and a route of ground. A real lion...Beware. 4) Sky Mesa is alive and training in Florida for trainer John Ward, who is best know for winning the Kentucky Derby with Monarchos a few years ago. Was undefeated as a 2-year-old and was scratch out of the Breeder's Cup Juvenile the morning of the race. A little rushed at this point, but that can all change. 5) Domestic Dispute is Baffert's "other" horse, and in the past, that's been the more dangerous one. He won his last race, the Santa Catalina, by an easier then it looked 3 lengths. The Usual Suspects 6) Trust N' Luck has won his last two races in wire-to-wire fashion. His latest triumph was in Saturday's Fountain of Youth at Gulfstream. He might be the "now" horse, but think he'll be a Derby also-ran as he reminds me of Hal's hope from a few years ago. He is being pointed toward the Santa Anita Derby. 9) Senor Swinger has raced just two times, but won both of those starts at two different tracks. Presses the pace in his last start and showed heart while holding off the late rally of some nice colts. 10) Minister's Wildcat is a stakes winner, but that win came at Golden Gate, up in northern California.
