internet explorer toolbar button pop-ups can be disabled or enabled quickly and conveniently by one of several shortcuts including a user-defined hotkey combination, the program's system tray icon right-click menu, or optionally by double-clicking its system tray icon. also, installation of the program adds a new smoothsurfin' button to internet explorer's toolbar. via this button you can either start the program or if it is already running, toggle the program's "pop-ups disabled/enabled" status conveniently while browsing.

system tray icon right-click menu smoothsurfin' indicates at all times whether pop-ups are enabled or disabled by the color of it's system tray icon: green for enabled and red for disabled.
new in this version of smoothsurfin' is the ability to add specific urls as well as complete domains to the program's "whitelists" which will allow any windows containing pages with urls or which are located on domains contained in these lists to open uninhibited.
the program also keeps a log file of the urls of pages in all pop-up windows it closes so that you can go back and view them to see if you missed anything important and even add the urls or domains of those pages to the "whitelists" with just a few clicks, all from the program's "log and whitelist management" dialog available through program options.
