final score consulting is undergoing a facelift and changes of a powerful nature.

starting october 6th we will be changing many things about our site and our service, all hopefully for the better. if you are visiting here, chances are you have visited competitors handicapping sites as well. we would be fools to think that out of the hundred plus primary handicappers out there, that we would be the only one you have or ever will visit. running a company on the internet is a complicated and involved undertaking and we have made changes before and these surely won't be the last. as they say "green you grow, ripe you rot". when we started fsc in 1999 we saw it as an opportunity to start a businesss doing something we loved. successful in our own right at picking winners consistently, long-term, and being able to profit from it, we figured why not share the wealth, and make a little extra ourselves (actually a lot extra hopefully).

it has been an interesting 4 years to say the least, with many ups and downs and highs and lows along the way.
we unfortunately had found ourself at a point we neither expected or wanted- mired in the sea of handicappers that come and go, many reputable, but most not, all screaming about their 21-4 run or "1000 star lock-o-the-millenium". i think a lot of cappers have done what we had, and that was follow the heard- in way too many respects. use pop-up's, pay per click advertising, post on every site on the net, offer 100's of affiliate deals (in case they aren't making money from their handicapping), screaming like ass clowns about their 1000 star locks, and generally being self-consumed as to how much players money they can grab versus a competitor.

today there are hundreds of handicappers (many, if not most wannabees and scammers) and the industry has become not only competitive, but downright near impossible for a player to navigate. everyone has todays "lock" for 20 dollars, and lets face it, they have to in order to survive conducting business that way, even if they don't have a strong opinion on the game. we sat and mulled over where we were going to go and what we were going to do in the face of this as we realized we were getting nowhere fast for the long run. sure we always have a few hundred subscribers for today, but god forbid we have a losing day, we have lost a member for life. let's face it, if you pay $19 today and we lose for you, you will probably never return. also the person that pays $19 for the day is usually looking for "magic". he often lost his shirt yesterday and needs a "get back" game. at least 75% of the 1 day orders are just that. (we know that. how?, we get emails following the day that either says "you saved my skin" or "you guys suck". face it, people that play recreational or seriously do not send flaming "you suck" emails after 1 bad day.)

as well, not only can they end up worse off if we happened to lose that day, but 1. we don't feel real good knowing that, and 2. we will surely never see him again as a customer. that presents a challenge of sorts though, as it's good money for us, and surely we wouldn't want to give that up...would we?

well after careful thought and soul search, the right answer to that question is yes. that's not why we started fsc-to bail out hard luck losers. why we started was to help the few select discplined, dedicated, long-term career or recreational players, that wanted off that bullshit hype rollercoaster as bad as we do, and will play consistently for long term 60% plus results. due to losing our focus there, we have probably forced plays, and hyped plays that maybe shouldn't have been. if your marketing to the "1000 star lock" junky you have to have the monday night blowout, right? we had also reduced our board some days because we might have been perceived as having "too much action". truth be told, some days we may have no plays and some days we may have 9, if that's what it is, that's what it will be.

so to sum up as we get back to our roots and take a long hot shower to cleanse the stink of bs handicapper hype (actually our players know we were never that bad, but we were heading in the wrong direction), the following changes are effective immediatly:

change #1 we will no longer be offering 1 day or even 1 week memberships. if you want today's winners, great, but it's going to be a month membership minimum or nothing. (as a special we will be offering the first month to any new or previous member at a reduced rate of $2.50 a day or $75 for the month). if you are a serious player, serious about winning today (or at least having a much better chance) $100 will not break you and you will have 29 more enjoyable care free betting days remaining. to compare it's a commitment. none of us knows what our wife will look or act like in 30 years, but most of us get married. it is trust and faith, and we will surely work hard to continually earn and justify that. before you hit the back button consider this. you will win over the course of a month if you play at least $25 a game. period. (and yes it's guaranteed.) we might still be bailing you out, but it's with the full understanding that you will win this month (maybe for some, the first time that has happened in their life), and please don't take that the wrong way. nodody visited here today because they had such a great winning day yesterday, like no one without a drinking problem "pops" in to an aa meeting to see what the fun is all about. (if you stay with me here a little longer, you'll like what's to follow)

as for the other changes, they are signifigant as well.

change #2 starting today we will be offering all our members a free premium service where with an hours notice, we will fully handicap any major game in any major sport for you up to 5 times a month. this might not result in a "recommended play" (unless it is, it certainly won't), but if you really need a professional opinion on a play we will give you our best estimate. this ties in directly with the whole "different from the rest of the pack" professionalism we are dedicated to. getting back to the roots of "helping others to achieve our goals" is a principle we want to do business with and we won't get preachy, but we know that it works, in anything in life, and that's how we will conduct fsc.

change #3 we are scaling back our advertising. we can't advertise effectively in most ways without the 1000 star lock crap, and since that's not us, we're going to save a little on advertising. we do and will certainly appreciate, that if we do right by you, tell your friends and/or send us a note that we can use as a testimonial. we believe that will help us continue to grow a business the right way, if not the quick way, so that we can and will be here for you 10 years from now.

change #4 we have recently made a sizable (for us at least) investment in a software program that analyzes every game in every sport by 1000+ trend and stat angles. that is not the end of it. in order to acheive our 10-1 this past football weekend (the first of the softwares use) we had to manually review and handicap the old-fashioned way and eliminated 4 of our perceived weaker plays (and coincidentally they all lost). now no, we don't expect (nor are we implying) we will go 10-1 each weekend, 7-4 at the right units is fine by us, and probably by you too. we mention this though as this system is very powerful to the degree where we expect 60%+ to be the norm, hopefully even better. will we still have stronger plays, you bet!, but none will ever be a "1000 star lock", ---that's a million star lock!

change #5 all plays will come with a thorough write-up. we work hard for our opinions, you pay good money, and we want you to know why we feel a certain way.

a few other things about the new fsc. we will continue to offer and feature certain merchants and products on our site, and yes we get a fee or residual from many of them. we have no shame about not being "non-profit" and we're sure no one reasonable will begrudge us that. let's face it, if your on trial for your life you want the lawyer that's making millions, don't you? the difference is we will not "shill" for anyone or any product. if we don't personally believe in it, we won't recommend or advertise it. if a customer complains about something, we will look into it and if they're right, we'll remove the product or company from the site. period. our reputation is important to both us and you. if you don't respect us as professional you'll surely look for someone you can. if you are looking for a reputable sportsbook those listed on our page are just that. you won't find any 100% bonuses, but you will get paid when you win.
