do you know what the key to making money online is? you have probably heard that targeted traffic is the single most important thing.

the key to making money online is to get highly targeted and highly motivated visitors to your site. by highly motivated i mean that it's not all about getting people in your target market to visit - it's about getting people in your target market who are actively looking for what you offer - their motivation for visiting is to satisfy a need or a want.

there is only one source of highly targeted and highly motivated traffic - the search engines. take a second to think about this: people use the search engines to find things that they want. they aren't pushed to do so. they have a need or a want so they use the search engines to find a site, product or service that will "quench their thirst".

• they are highly targeted because they are searching for something that they want - people don't search for something that they aren't interested in.

• they are highly motivated because they have gone to the trouble of entering some keywords into the search engine. they haven't been told to do it - they have chosen to do it.

if you are ranked in the top 10 for the keywords and phrases that people actually use, you will get the best type of traffic - highly targeted and highly motivated.
