i am a very busy person. i have a couple of kids and work all day outside of my home. i am exhausted by the time i get home and just don’t feel like cooking. is the gramslam diet really easy to follow?
answer: yes. the gramslam diet is extremely easy to follow. in fact when the program was conceived back in 1989 it was designed for working people. it’s very hard to stay on a “diet” when you work all day and then have to prepare meals for your family. the diet plan is healthy. it is micro and macro nutrient sufficient.

does the gramslam diet require a lot of exercise?
answer: exercise on the diet plan is recommended as with any diet plan. the exercise we recommend is walking. walking is safe, easy and doesn’t require any special equipment except for maybe a good pair of walking shoes. start off with just 20 minutes a day and build up your stamina gradually. it is very important that you try to do something each day. see how to check your heart rate.

i have high cholesterol and high blood pressure. can i use your diet plan?
answer: absolutely! the national cholesterol education program recommends less than 300mg of cholesterol per day and less than 30% total fat calories per day. the national academy of sciences recommends for safe and adequate daily dietary sodium intake between 1100mg. and 3300mg. daily. the gramslam diet plan falls within these specifications. 

what kind of meals can i eat? i don’t have a lot of extra money to spend on “diet foods”.
answer: this is a very important question. this is what makes gramslam different from every other program being sold today. you can follow the gramslam program exactly the way it is or you can make substitutions yourself. the format to this diet plan is copyrighted. no other weight loss program can put a diet plan together and sell it to you in this format. gramslam uses foods from the supermarket. the meals can be weight watchers, lean cuisine, healthy choice, kroger, slimfast, plus countless other low-fat foods. we supply you with a grocery list and menus for the first 12 days of meals and snacks. we recommend following the program the way it is for the first 12 days. dieting is much less complicated when you don’t have to “think about” what your going to have to prepare for your next meal. however, if you need to replace any food item with your own selection you can. structure is very important when dieting. the reason behind using frozen meals is simple. they are portion controlled and require less preparation. by using the gramslam format your diet plan will always be structured and portion controlled.

do you know that eating one meal a day encourages the storage of fat! your body goes into a panic mode when food isn't provided on a regular basis. experts agree that you should eat at least three regular meals and three healthy snacks a day. the gramslam diet plan is your answer to losing weight effectively in the comfort of your own home.

what makes the gramslam diet different?

the gramslam “format”. if you were to take a stroll through any bookstore and pick up a diet book, any diet book, you will not see a format page. what you will find is recipes on how to prepare your meals or menus on what to eat each day. well, what happens when you don’t like the authors meal selections? maybe, the suggested menus are just too time consuming and not practical for your personal economic situation. you’re stuck with a worthless diet plan that you will never use. substitutions or dining out are easily handled by using the gramslam format.

i am thinking of getting my stomach stapled. can your diet plan help me to lose weight without having to go through this operation?
answer: you bet! please, be honest with yourself here for a moment. how long do you think it will take to lose your weight with stomach stapling? now, how long do you think it will take to lose the same amount of weight without this life-threatening operation? the answer is, about the same amount of time. so why would you take a chance with it? common sense should say that having part of your stomach removed by choice is not normal. change the way you look and feel by changing the way you eat and exercise, not by removing part of your stomach!

i have a job that requires that i take my clients out for either lunch or dinner on occasion. can i drink alcohol?
answer: one of the hardest things to do is to stay on a diet plan that restricts’ everything. life is about making choices and that includes your food choices. that is why most diets fail. drinking alcohol is not the best choice either on or off a diet. using moderation is the key here. that is why we allow some alcohol consumption. see gramslam and the spirits.

do i need to take vitamins?
answer: you don’t have to take vitamins, but can if you want. try to use 100% whole food concentrates. they are better for you and much easier for your body to assimilate. most store brand vitamins don’t even come close in comparison to using whole food concentrates. you can find whole food concentrates at your better health food stores.

do you have a maintenance plan?
answer: yes. the gramslam format page is used also as your maintenance plan. once you have reached your desired weight loss goal you will most likely be concerned about not gaining your weight back. chances are very high that if you use the gramslam diet format on and off throughout your lifetime you will not gain your weight back. as mentioned before, the format uses structure. structure is what will keep you in control. if you find that you have gained a few pounds back, just follow the diet plan again or better yet, use the diet plan 3-4 days out of the week to help you from gaining any of the weight back to begin with.

how much weight can i expect to lose on the gramslam diet plan?
answer: weight loss varies with each individual. you can realistically expect to lose 10-25 pounds in the first 4 weeks on the gramslam diet. some have lost more or less depending upon how much your starting weight is. 

why do you think your diet plan is better than say jenny craig or e-diets.
answer: gramslam is not specific to any plan. all plans however, can use the gramslam format. you will never know how much food energy is being consumed if you don’t see it in a structured format. you have to learn what to look for in your food selections. let’s say you are given just one days worth of food to eat on jenny craig or e-diets. now, let’s suppose you didn’t like any of the foods for that day. what would you do?

your choices are: don’t eat for the day, skip eating some of the foods, call up a counselor and have them change your day around or just forget the diet altogether. it is not good enough just having a substitution list with any diet plan. you must have it in a format! you must see how much food energy you are consuming.

a format means structure and structure means lifelong success. other diet plans do not have a structured format page nor do they break down each individual food item like the gramslam diet does. this is why most diets are not good for the long term. with gramslam, you get a diet plan with a format. and the format is like having a blueprint to use with any diet plan.
