| when tuning your guitar, always tune up to the desired pitch. begin tuning by loosening the string at least on full turn of the tuning gear/machine head or until it is clearly at a lower pitch. then gradually increase the string tension, thereby raising the pitch until you match the desired tone. this helps keep the string tight and in-tune and it is also a great way to train your ear. |
