why i wrote this book

"my wife and i were married in a quaint little church in west vancouver, british columbia, canada.
it was a december wedding, held at 5:00 pm. the church was lit with candles. flowers filled the alter. a choir sang. and many in attendance still tell us it was the most romantic wedding they have ever attended.
the reception was held at the four seasons hotel in downtown vancouver. my mother-in-law had worked for months to take of every last detail; my father-in-law had spared no expense in making it a very special evening for the 125 guests we had invited.
in short, it was the kind of wedding they write about in those fancy bridal magazines, and everyone was having a wonderful time.
