hydroponics is a huge field of study, spanning applications from classroom aid to research tool to commercial method. many of the methods and equipment used in hydroponics can benefit the small-scale farmer, very cost-effectively. yet much of what is currently published about hydroponics is geared toward either the teacher, the hobbyist, or the large-scale specialized commercial producer. we decided to change that, with hydroponics for market growers.
this magazine is unlike any other farm magazine that we are aware of. we focus on showing small-scale farmers how to use low-cost, low-tech hydroponic methods, tools and equipment, to boost yields, improve quality, cut costs and save time. you won't read about huge, multi-million dollar facilities here. instead, you'll see how farmers are using hydroponics to grow fodder crops for cattle during drought. you'll understand how hydroponically produced crops fit into the national organic program. and you'll learn how you can use aeroponics to raise root crops, thus drastically reducing harvest equipment needs and soil-borne disease problems. all this and more are delivered in each issue of hydroponics for market growers.
"great information, very well presented. the 'organic article' most helpful."

each issue has at least four in-depth articles (sometimes five), plus product reviews, book reviews, and classified ads. all articles are new, as opposed to merely being reprints of information available elsewhere. most issues average about 30-40 pages long. the vast majority of that total is devoted to the articles, not to advertising.
both print and electronic formats are available. the electronic format is $2.00/issue, or $10.00/year. the print format is $4.00/issue, or $16.00/year.
